Welcome to Algebra I. This is a flipped classroom. You may find yourself asking what does this mean? Essentially, this means students will watch video lessons online outside of class at their own pace, and then when they return to the classroom students will be engaged in collaborative activities and independent work in the classroom. There are several benefits to using this model of instruction. First student frustration will be reduced, because they can get help on homework assignments while completing them in the classroom. Second when students watch the lessons they write down any questions they have, and we are able to review those questions individually. Finally, students who might not have technology or parents to help them outside of school now have the teacher guiding them in class.
